Afghan Official Loses Job For Inviting Israeli Diplomat To Party in the Afghan embassy in Germany.
The Afghan government has sacked an official from its embassy in Berlin for inviting an Israeli diplomat to an event.
Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry said the invitation was “a technical mistake” made by a political employee. It said the unnamed official had sent the invitation card to the Israeli Embassy in Berlin by “mistake” on the occasion of Afghanistan’s Independence Day in August, and that the Afghan ambassador was not aware of the invitation.
