The kids in Swat did not take polio vaccine in the on going polio vaccine campaign in the country. Militants have imposed ban on vaccination for the last four years in the valley. They consider
vaccination un -Islamic and a conspiracy of the West against Muslims.
Four polio infected children have been identified this year.

Health department could not arrange the campaign due to security reasons. Sufi has assured the masses that he will talk to militants regarding polio vaccination. Militants chief, Fazlullah, has urged the government to prepare its own vaccine then we will think over it.

It is to remind that government has signed a peace Truce with militants on Feb, 16 and has also promulgated Nifaz-i-Adal regulation in Swat.
