The police uniform is a symbol of the state. Obligation of police is to ensure citizens’ security. Stern action would be taken to curb any possible criminal activity in the area.
More than 130 in Quetta , while 300 policemen and officers laid their lives in the line of their duty.
This was revealed by Inspector Genrel Police Balochistan Malik Muhammad Iqbal while addressing a tribal gathering here in Zhob on Sunday.
FC Commandant Babar Ghani, Regional Police Officer Amir Khan Mandokhail and DPO Raz Muhammad Tareen were also present on the occasion.
Tribal, political and social figures participated in a large number.
He further stated that, as an institution police is responsible for maintaining public order and safety, enforcing law and preventing, detecting, and investigating criminal activities.
“Police will make all possible efforts to maintain peace in the area and to protect the life and property of masses. Crime is a complicated social phenomenon that cannot be explained from one perspective. Similarly, it cannot be solved without active cooperation among members of the public, various key sectors and law enforcement agencies”. He maintained.
“The criminal and anti-social elements will find us really tough. I want people to feel safe and be safe. Crimes shake the public peace and tranquility of life. However, the Police are committed to ensure the policing strategies aiming at reducing the incidence of heinous offences”. He assured.
He further stated “Police is the second law enforcement agency after army, bears the responsibility for providing safety and security through control of crime and maintenance of public order”. He maintained.
He stressed upon the masses to extend their cooperation towards Law Enforcements Agencies. So, that the anti state elements could be traced easily. It is also the responsibility of the public to obey the law.
The police would be given the resources needed to tackle internal threats and crime. He concluded.
